my story
Hi, I'm Kate.
Photographer, traveller and mum.
I believe the most beautiful photos aren't taken in a studio — they happen in the places where you feel most like yourself.
It all started with a disposable camera...
My love for photography began in childhood — running around summer camp with a little plastic disposable camera. Then came film, and eventually my first proper DSLR.
What fascinated me was the idea that I could freeze a moment that lasted just a second — one that maybe nobody else even noticed.
I've been shooting for 16 years.

The world through my lens
In 2015, I packed my bags and set off into the world alone — with one goal: to have the adventure of a lifetime. I barely spoke any foreign languages and had almost nothing in my bank account.
I lived on a deserted island in Cambodia, volunteered in the Costa Rican jungle, worked with dolphins in New Zealand, and got stuck in Colombia during Covid.
Along the way, I became fluent in English, Italian and Spanish — and picked up a little Khmer too.
That journey taught me one thing: don't wait for the perfect moment. Just keep your eyes open.
„The best things in life aren't things.“
And then came the greatest adventure of all
And then Oliver was born.
The day that changed everything — as it does for every mum, I suppose.
The beginning of motherhood wasn't easy. Overnight, my free, wide-open world shrank to four walls.
I went through a really dark postpartum period — anxiety, depression, loneliness, and the feeling that I had completely lost myself. The girl who had travelled the world alone with a backpack — I suddenly didn't recognise her in the mirror anymore.
Those first months are still a blur.
It was only later, when the pressure eased a little, that I realised how incredibly fast Ollie had grown — and why on earth did I have no photos of us together? Photos where I actually appeared too.
I kept telling myself "later."
When I feel better.
When I'm less tired.
I look back now and those early memories feel like a gap I can never fill.
And that's the reason I do what I do today.
I don't want you to have that gap too.

I come to you
The last thing on my mind after giving birth was a photoshoot. Even the thought of getting somewhere on time with a newborn felt completely overwhelming.
So I come to you instead.

A few more things about me
I love crime stories, dark chocolate, summer, pasta and prosecco.
I can't stand lyers, an empty fridge, or winter.
My idea of the perfect escape? A few days at our cottage — phone off, sausages on the fire, and long walks in the woods in my joggers.
